Wasatch County Declares September Constitution Month

The Wasatch County Council has designated September as Constitution Month to honor the anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution

On September 17, 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the United States Constitution, establishing the framework for our government, safeguarding individual liberties, and laying the foundation for the rule of law.

Each year on September 17, Americans pause to remember this historic achievement, often referred to as Constitution Day.

Communities nationwide honor the Constitution in September through educational programs, reflection, and public events.

The State of Utah also recognizes September as American Founders and Constitution Month, encouraging citizens to study and celebrate the enduring principles of the Constitution.

The Council likewise invites all residents, schools, organizations, and faith communities to participate in Constitution Month activities and reflect on the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution.
