About the Council
The Wasatch County Council is the legislative body for Wasatch County. They are responsible for all ordinances, resolutions, budgets and the county code. The council consists of 7 members from 5 geographic regions and 2 at-large members.
The Wasatch County Council meets in three types of meetings:
- Regular Meetings
- Work Meetings
- Special/Emergency Meetings
Regular meetings typically are scheduled twice a month on the first and third Wednesdays. Work meetings are typically scheduled for the second week of the month. Special/Emergency meetings are scheduled as needed.

The Council appoints the county manager, who holds the executive authority for the county.
