Public Notice is hereby given by the Wasatch County Manager's office of immediate openings for the following Board Member positions. Qualified applicants, please submit your application, including all qualifications and interests, to the County Manager's office. These openings are open until filled.
Wasatch County Board Openings
Deputy Sheriff Merit Commission - This board has a diverse partisan makeup and is responsible for functions in the Sheriff's Office including interpreting policies, establishing job classifications, developing and administering testing processes, overseeing appeals and grievances, and making other rules and regulations in conformity with state law and county code. The current opening is for the remainder of the seat that expiries in February 2027. Applicants must be a resident for at least five years and may be a member of any political party. Trails, Arts, and Parks Tax Advisory Board - This seven-person board administers the application process and makes recommendations to the Wasatch County Council on how to use and facilitate funds collected from the Wasatch County TAP Tax to enhance trails, arts, and parks in Wasatch County.
- Current opening: One board position is currently open to fill the remainder of a term ending in November 2026. The person filling this board position must be an industry expert. (Posted 9/8/2025. First review 10/8/2025. Closes 11/8/2025)
- Future openings: Two board positions will be open in November 2025. The two expiring seat appointments are four-year terms, with one of them being an at-large citizen and the other an industry expert and must be current employees of botanical, cultural, recreational, or zoological organizations or facilities located in the county. Wasatch County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board - SSD #21 - This board helps advise Parks and Recreation staff and offers recommendations to the Recreation Board for approvals. Experience in the Parks and Recreation industry is preferred. (Posted 10/7/2025. Closes 11/28/2025 at 5 p.m.)
- Two board positions currently open. Two-year term starts January 1, 2026, and expires December 31, 2027.
